O Ateliê PLANETA VERDE é uma iniciativa para colaborarmos em uma política de Proteção ao Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Cultura de Paz a ser praticada nas escolas públicas, privadas e comunidades, visando a transformação social.

O Ateliê PLANETA VERDE é uma nova forma de organização nas escolas e comunidades se baseia na participação de estudantes, professores, funcionários, diretores e comunidade. O principal papel do projeto é contribuir para um dia-a-dia informativo, participativo, democrático, animado e saudável, promovendo o intercâmbio entre as escolas e a comunidade.

THE GREEN PLANET ATELIÊis a grassroots movement aimed to social transformation by our cooperation with Environment Protection, Sustainable Development and Peace Culture policies applied at public and private schools and overall communities.

”ATELIÊ” is a French word for “studio”, meaning a place where people with the will to create can to experiment, manipulate and produce one or more types of art works. The etymology of "studio" derives from the Latin word “studere” which could be translated as "the desire to achieve something."

Following this designation, the project aims to meet all basic education schools and communities, searching for environmental awareness and adoption of new habits, behaviors, attitudes and values by local grassroots groups as well as the understanding of their roles as individuals in society, seeking the union with other citizens to take into consideration the sustainability of our planet, the quality of life and social justice through art.

It is essential to stimulate the understanding that environmental sustainability is fundamental to warranty to the present and to the future generation the existence of the biodiversity.

At the schools the GREEN PLANET ATELIÊprograms will contribute to the youngsters education regarding their own living space and encourage them to take upon the responsibility for the environmental grassroots.

The GREEN PLANET ATELIÊis a new form of grassroots organization at the schools which engages students, teachers, staff and directors.

To be careful and not to fall on a technicality that would drive the student away from the transforming actions she/he needs as an engaged in her/his own era citizen, is one of the main concerns of the Green Planet Ateliê, and by looking and participating along the daily teen’s life and interpreting their collective actions through the use of images, workshops and performances at school that the project will support them in value rescuing, immersing the youngsters in activities that bring them a healthy and sustainable future perspective.

At the communities the GREEN PLANET ATELIÊ acts as an organized grassroots social and environmental project aimed to develop and perform activities in partnership with residents, associations, organizations, other grassroots and etc... including green activists of various segments, pursuing a better future with equilibrium and social equality. One of the main roles of the GREEN PLANET ATELIÊ is to contribute to the community daily engagement into democratic, environmentally healthy funny activities and also promote educational events encouraging the environmental education through art with open shows and open workshops for all ages.

From words to action, the GREEN PLANET ATELIÊ had already performed in four occasions the following public open shows and workshops:

June 08, 2008: Environmental Awareness workshops at the “Heliópolis Residents Association”

July 18, 2009: Special Didactics Environmental Preservation workshops at the Disabled Friends and Parents Association (APADE) to enhance the knowledge of the importance of environment preservation and protection.

July 20 to 21, 2009: GREEN PLANET ATELIÊ Ecologic June Festival (Festas Juninas), with educative activities and performances to enhance the environmental awareness and the adoption of environmentally correct habits.

August 15, 2009: GREEN PLANET ATELIÊ FESTIVAL at the Ipiranga Municipal Market Place with performances, shows (choirs, bands, theater and ballet performances) plus thematic and informative open workshops plus environmentally friend actions demonstrations, using Art as an educational tool.

The main goal of the events is to implement a process of sustainable and environmental friendly activities by through ART.

The occasions and festivals had exceeded the expectations of the GREEN PLANET ATELIÊ.
